Chi Hyon places importance on touch and Qi connection between people. Touch has been shown to play a great role in boosting immunity. She thinks building strength and immunity are the most important pieces in keeping us healthy. Thus, her treatment goal is in increasing and nourishing inner strength — balancing the body and mind. For this therapeutic philosophy, she uses not only acupuncture but also various other modalities such as moxibustion, cupping, Guasha, and scalp/spinal Tuina massage.

Chi Hyon specializes in menopause and women’s health, geriatrics, neuro-muscular disorders like paralysis, and psychology. She is fundamentally focused on psychological and physical issues caused by the aging process. Even though human lifespans have increased through scientific, economic, and medical development in modern society, the satisfaction and happiness of people have not necessarily increased with this quantitive expansion according to research into GNH (Gross National Happiness). Everyone will get old — we cannot be free from this force of nature. Even though our body is aging, however, our health and mind can stay strong. During aging, some people undergo depression and get frustrated by the physical changes. In addition, women can have a hard time with premenopausal symptoms. Some females even feel that they loose their identity or charm as a women. These fears and desires for youth have been targeted commercially with items sporting the very attractive tagline: “Anti-Aging”. Chi Hyon would like to approach these issues in a more natural way with the modalities and philosophy of Oriental Medicine and contribute her effort in assisting you to live a more qualitative and balanced life and to appreciate and enjoy each day.

Chiron was a noble figure in Greek mythology who excelled in healing and music. His nobility is reflected in the story of his death, wherein Chiron voluntarily sacrificed his immortal life to allow Prometheus to live, and thus allowed mankind to obtain the use of fire. He represents the "wounded healer" — our deepest wound, and our efforts to heal the wound.
The name “Kheiron” was derived from the Greek word for hand (kheir), which also meant "skilled with the hands." The name was also closely associated in myth with “kheirourgos” or surgeon.
In honor of his life, Zeus immortalized Chiron as a star in the constellation Saggitarius.
